Rosie and John Seidelmann, Leave It To Us Innsitters, have been interim innkeeping on a full time basis since August, 2003. Our first assignment was at a B&B in Lake Lure, N.C., for the months of August and September. We were invited back for November and then for most of 2004.
Since that time, we have been booked continuously, most of the time as a couple but occassionally seperately as well. We have worked at inns ranging from 3 to 12 rooms. These inns, some being Select Registry Inns, have provided us with experience in a variety of services. These services have included continental, full and buffet breakfasts; wine and cheese hours; turn down service and more. Reservation systems have, of course, varied so we are familiar with Super Inn, Rezovations, Guest Tracker, Webervations and others.
Prior to becoming interim innkeepers, our careers revolved around customer service and hospitality, primarily in the hotel industry. Rosie spent over 12 years in the industry, mostly with Stouffer Hotels and Resorts as Front Office Manager. John was also with Stouffers for 20 years as the head of several departments including banquets, catering and housekeeping.
Following our hotel careers, we owned and operated a franchised retail store, Deck The Walls, for 13 years. In addition to continuing to work with the public this gave us experience in marketing and advertizing.
